Phoenix scores 2 out of the top 10 dangerous intersections in the US, according to a study of accident data by State Farm Insurance. 7th Street and Bell Road was the site of 268 crashes in a two year period, and ranked 4th most dangerous. The other entry was 19th Avenue and Northern Avenue, placing 7th on the list.

Prosecutors said Tuesday that Mark Sands, the man accused of being the mountain preserves arsonist, spelled out the reasons behind his campaign of terror during an unwitting confession to a friend two weeks ago. The confession was captured on tape by investigators who had wired the friend for sound. A prosecutor said Sands described how he burned down a luxury home under construction behind his home, then went back and burned it down again. "The guy was so stupid to do it again and leave the place unprotected," Sands was quoted as saying. Soon, the focus turned to other neighborhoods. "And then you have a campaign," Sands reportedly told his friend after he swore to keep the secret.

I did not see it mentioned in the AZ Republic article, but on the KFYI Mohan in the morning show, Mohan claimed that the "friend" that agreed to be wired did not know the nature of the police investigation nor did they know that Sands was a lead suspect for serial arson crimes. The host asked the listening audience if you would agree to "wear a wire" to betray a friendship. What are your thoughts on the story?

Mister "moonpie" Mohan in the morning on KFYI played a tape of a voicemail left by a representative of the sheriff's public relations office, Dave Trombi. The profanity-laced recording layed into Mo, saying that Mohan was speaking falsely about the jailcam showing women on the toilet, and that his station needs to "lay off" the sheriff's office. KFYI, without the Clintons to bash now, has been focusing recently on Joe's jails, with the McGee beating recently and the women's jailcam issue. The call ended with an imperative to "knock it off" and a warning that "we'll (Sheriff's office) do what we gotta do" ...

Is Mohan "whining like a baby" and using his host position to bully the sheriff office? Is he a "sniveling wimp" that should devote more attention to "real" issues?

But maybe he should have burned the homes of developers and politicians - that's what one tickled caller to the Mister "Moonpie" Mohan in the morning show on KFYI said about the big news of an arrest in the "luxury home" arson spree case. Mark Warren Sands, 49, who lives near a preserve in north Phoenix and served as vice president of his homeowners association, faces up to 300 years in prison and $5.5 million in fines, if convicted on 22 counts of arson and extortion. The indictment links him to eight fires that were set between April 9, 2000, and Jan. 18 of this year. Mark toted a bible around and tossed quotes out to threaten a homeowner association member from rebuilding. His neighbors, of course, described him as a "nice family man".

Are there legions of secret supporters for the alleged arsonist as Mister Mohan speculated? I think the forementioned caller was a bit off his rocker to equate the dropping of tea in a Boston harbor with the destruction of family homes. On the other hand, nobody was harmed physically as a result of the arson acts committed.

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law. I have learned a great deal from you, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.

When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?

I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as it suggests in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev. 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

Lev. 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans but not Canadians. Can you clarify?

I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

Lev. 20:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
