Rick Bloom's got a mike, and "funny" has a whole new meaning
Any press is better than no press, even a Phoenix New Times article by Robrt Pela that pans the KFNX 1100 AM morning show.
In other KFNX related notes, Mike Newcomb's On Second Thought can be heard 5-7 PM and Arizona's libertarian broadcast deacon Ernest Hancock has the weekday noon (12-1 PM) hour slot.

Being nice to people usually pays off in the long run. You however found it in your heart to call me bigoted, conceited, dillusional, and a nerd. You said my show was bad, boring and that it pissed you off. Further, you obviously didn't listen to my show for the next 8 weeks after the interview, when the format changed drastically to a news talk format. I
e-mailed you several times to alert you, but you ignored me. Further, not only did you fail to mention my extensive educational and vocational background and experience, but you didn't even mention the time of the show 6-9am m-f KFNX 1100AM. You doctored the interview by adding insulting language to your questions as well. When you interviewed me your questions were significantly more appropriate, and their were deliberate misquotes.
If you had heeded my urging to listen to my show in the following 8 weeks before you published this article (and not just the parody disks that you asked to keep so that you could play them for your friends) you would have seen that my show featured informative guests and the news talk format, and no longer the original comedy format that I had used on my afternoon drive show on NBC1190 KMYL.

You obviously didn't care about reporting anything that would ruin your mean spirited story. If you play back the tape, unedited, I'm sure you will find that I cleared up any "hick " references.
Robert, I came to your house and did nothing to offend you. What has happened to you in your life that makes you feel good about this hatchet job is beyond me. I have always used the golden rule when I deal with others, and everyone that appears on my show is treated with respect!
Please contact me so that I can hear the unedited tape! I am very serious about the damage you have caused to my reputation! Saying I was only being offensive to non-whites and saying I called my listeners hicks were false and I believe malicious statements.
