Since the addition of Bruce Jacobs, and the departure of Heidi and Heywood, I have discontinued listening to KFYI on my morning commute. I need a less piercing voice at that hour and probably at all hours. Also, he remains on one subject too long after a point has been made. I did give him a chance.

I have turned to Beth and Bill @ 99.9 for my morning commute. Jacobs is way overboard for that time of the morning.

It makes no difference to me. How can anyone listen to all the right-wing wacko's all day long, day after day, on your station. I guess the people that believe all that trite need it to bolster their far out ideology.

The things I like abought bruce is he speaks from his heart, and he does not kiss ass to the politicaly correct crowd. I dont agree with all he says but he gives us a fresh view to think abought daily. He does not give the view of the masses, to be loveed by all, and I respect that.

Bruce needs to quit his stupid laugh, trat the people with more respect and quit sniffing his runny noe while on the air. He is gross, repetive and rude. while his ideas may be good, he ruins everything with his harsh attitude. If I had little ones I would not want them to listen to your station.

Bruce is one of few with the courage to say what needs to be said. He understands the proper role of government and is not afraid to speak out on the issue. He also is not afraid to speak out about the invasion going on in this country. WE voices for freedom and responsible government. Our Founding Fathers committed; "Thier Lives, their Fortunes and thier Sacred Honor" for this Republic. I want to thank you for being such great Patriots for defending this Great Republic. Bruce Jacobs is great. True, for those who don't like to hear from other views, he may come off as mean, but that is actually a very intriguing way of doing talk radio. Talk is all about opinions and beliefs, Bruce gives his opinions plain and clear; if someone can prove he is inaccurate he apologizes and points it out. It seems to me that those who are critical of his program are the ones who turned it off the first time they listened to it: Bruce himself says, you'll hate me the first time you listen to me, then you'll grow to love me. Listen for a month and see if you still feel the same way.

Hey H&H fans. You've still got leftie news from ABC,CBS,NBC,CNN and,of course,our very own Arizona Republic. As someone who works during the week,I just wish valley radio would rerun some of those "right-wing" talk shows on weekends so I could hear them. On Saturdays all the shows seem to be about some wonder diet supplement or what fertilizer to put on your flowers. Stuff for H&H fans.

So far I have tolerated Bruce Jacobs. Today he went over the top with his opinion on prayer. He was very quick to denounce the callers and their beliefs, however, the listeners were supposed to accept his opinion on prayer, and what we should pray about! What a moron. He should keep his religious ideals to himself. His AM show is not the time or the place for his religious beliefs. I will no longer listen to your AM spot until he is GONE!

How are your morning ratings now that you've totally destroyed the stations A.M. drive slot with a BUFFOON purporting to be a talk show host? I've only been able to listen for a total of 45 minutes since Bruce Jacobs first aired. Look's like a bad business decision to me. I would like to thank your management for introducing me to KTAR.

I stopped listening to KFYI in the mornings when Bill Heywood was on. Now I am back with Bruce Jacobs...good decision.

Bruce is a breath of fresh air along with the rest of your day time line up. He gets you thinking at the crack of dawn which is apparently a diffficult task for some. The whole point of his commentary is to invoke discussion is that not what talk radio is all about "Free Speech". My wife and I actually live in Tucson and preferred to purchase an antenna in order to receive a good signal from KFYI over our local Clear Channel affiliate primarily for the time slots Bruce and Liddy & Hill fill with thoughtful discussion.

Bruce keep up the great work,as your promotional pieces state you are just ordinary guy with something to say and there are many of us out here and who share in your thoughts. We have even traveled to the Phoenix area for a Smack Down.

Bruce Jacobs is actually good as a sports talk host....I'm not from AZ so I haven't heard his news show...Since I'm a liberterian, guess I wouldn't care for it though....

As far as sports talk though, I'd take Bruce Jacobs anyday, before a punk like Jim Rome....

Bruce is the bomb! I just hate when the voicestream goes out and I can't listen to the rest of his show. I love that he speaks his mind and does not give a rat's @$$ what anyone else thinks. Those are his opinions and you can't take that away from him.

Bruce Jacobs is great - in the tradition of radio pioneers - those who blaze new trails - in other words, says what he feels like saying - is entertaining - looks at the irony in things and situations - you think he's dumb?, yea, dumb as a fox - he know how to play and please an audience and get his point of view across - you know part of it is entertainment and Bruce understands that. Keep up the great work!!

Who cares about your so-called ratings. What about what your listeners want? Have you asked us. How do we know your ratings are accurate? From what I hear from "other" listeners, they were not in favor of dropping Heidi and Heywood. Both are seasoned hosts with a beautiful blend of personalities.
Bruce Jacobs is harsh and abrasive! I don't need this to start my day. I want intelligence, variety and and open-mindedness. That's what Heidi and Heywood had to offer. YOU are the losers in this decision. I would rather switch radio stations than continue to accept your choice in hosts!!

Clearly alternative lifestyle! Bruce says what he means and doesn’t pull any punches. He's a great thing for Phoenix radio. And if you listening to "Beef and Bill" @99.9 then you probably aren’t a very avid KFYI listener anyway.

Glad to see Heidi & Haywood gone from KFYI. They were two people that were way too entirely full of themselves.

KTAR programming has gone way way down hill. Can't get weather or traffic when I leave work at 7am to head home. Too much gibby gabbin' over there about useless sports dribble and too much gibby gabbin' about their own absolutely trivial lives which has nothing to do with actually keeping people at that time of the morning on top of the news, traffic and weather.

KFYI gives me that Bruce Jacobs that makes me laugh so hard while driving that I am afraid some morning I am going to laugh myself off the 40th Street Exit and right into the guard rail. Bruce is an excellent badly needed fixture in Phoenix radio. Like having some of KGO from San Francisco here in the valley. Thank you Bruce for your excellent and most welcome on-the-air antics. You're missed when you have to have time off.

I hated Bruce Jacobs at first, but I was glad to get rid of the Heywood off color remarks. I've come to look forward to hearing him, for most of the time I agree with what he is saying. His laugh is so infectious, it gets me off to a good start in the morning. I truly missed him while on vacation.

Bruce is easily the single most misinformed person on the radio in Phoenix and probably the least intelligent talk jock.

He's tough to listen to. He rants for repeatedly for a half hour without adding new content. Just repeats himself to death, usually citing misrepresentations of "facts" or just his bizarre opinion as if they were facts. Too "East Coast" for 6am in the increasingly moderate West.

I'm hoping for something else in the morning from KFYI soon. I'm curious as to his ratings recently though, he keeps saying KFYI trounces KTAR in ratings, but my research on previous months shows the opposite stationwide.

As to how effective these radical white ring radio jocks are at persuading the public in AZ - here are 4 words for you: Matt Salmon, Janet Napolitano.

The sation shold be aware that he places them in peril of a major law suit---they can't allow him to say and write that a person that disagrees with him is a "leftie, commie, hates America, wants body bags and is a moron." Bruce represents the greatest waste of air time in the radio industry. His New York in-your-face attitude and lack of intellect is astounding. I find no reason to listen to KFYI again until he is off the air. Let me know when the station is once again worthy of my time.

Mr. Jacobs is barely literate. KFYI started into a downward spiral when Mohan left. The only good thing left is Barry Young, who, on a good day, is funnier than Jay Leno.

Reading in The American Conservative(Feb 2 and 16, '04) about Charles Goyette being removed from the afternoon on KFYI(550). Program director Laurie Cantillo says:"ratings are up across the board". Then we see in your piece: KTAR-AM620 "way out in front of KFYI in afternoon" (since Goyette sqeezed out). Chauk one up for Charles Goyette and those who seek the truth.

Bruce Jacobs is the WORST! Since he's been on I've been listening to KTAR in the mornings. Having the alarm going off with B.J.'s ranting and raving is no way to start the day. KFYI also lost me as a listener when they got rid of Charles Goyette. Is Coast to Coast next on the chopping block? I hope not!

I like bruce Jacobs. I listen to him every morning at work. I like what he has to say. I think he cares about the injustice in the world.

Bruce Jacobs is great! A few of my friends referred me to the station and I loved it. He is not afraid to speak his mind. Its refreshing listening to him in the morning. Keep telling it like it is.

I use to listen to your station most of every day, but not anymore. Your local talk show hosts have become so patethic, malicious and are taking up precious time to opportunistically display their ugly, personal and attacking agendas. I have begun changing to other stations with the exceptions of when Rush and Hanity are on. If Rush has to follow and Sean has to precede your revolting hosts, your ratings as a station will plumate. In particular, Jacobs, Liddy and Hill--are they worth it? Joe is Okay, but not one bit interesting. In fact, the very sound of his voice is annoying. Please make some changes so people like me don't have to try and remember when Rush and Sean are on and switch back and forth.

Other than coast to coast, I could listen to kfyi 24/7 during the week, provided I didn't have classes or work. Bruce Jacobs has the courage to say what he means and damn the torpedos, Barry Young has been my hero for years, Rush, while being one of the most informed men in talk radio, proves that he's human and I will continue to support him, Sean Hannity is incredible!, Liddy and Hill are the funniest talk show in the world, and Joe Crummey Is sooooo much better than the last 7-10 jock! I have to listen to the left wing, goose stepping, tolerate us and accept us or else you're a hateful uninformed evil closed minded conservative who is going to not exist after he dies because there is no hell attitude from my teachers. KFYI is a place where I can hear what is really going on in the world!

Bruce tells it like it is. If it is too loud, your too sensitive. Get over it! I have been listening to Bruce since his days in Chicago on sports radio. I wish that he was doing Sports Radio exclusively, but at least he has job!

I think Bruce Jacobs is cool. I like his political point of view. I'm tired of the leftists thinking the right to Freedom Of Speech applies only to them. I'm also tired of their hypocracy in claiming to be anti-war, while committing acts of violence and their hate mongering.

Helen, the chances of KFYI bringing back Charles Goyette is practically zero. We just have to recall back to the brouhaha that occurred with him and the station during the beginning of the Iraq War. He does not fit KYFI's typically "Republican good, Democrat bad" nonsense. If by divine intervention they hired him, of course I would be thrilled. But I can't see that happening.

You people never change. You unceremoniously dump people we depend on with no warning, as if you know best. You're all full of it. The genre is expected and looked forward to especially for those in transportation who can drive and listen at the same time! However, what shows us what's under YOUR skirts are your decrepid use of the male expansion pill-ads. That ($^%^%$) who complained that his kids would be worse-off listening to Jacobs...what does he do? Call his kids to the radio to hear that a woman wants thickness, etc.? I Always switch to KTAR the second those sex-ads begin-trouble is- More often than not, I "forget to switch back. It's not Jacobs- You can control the jocks - it's YOU! Mohan was good enough years back....let the public decide from now on. For whatever reason we include you in our lives , be greatful. Most of us just switch if our favorite isn't on yet. You can't please everyone. Seems to me you're caving in to the govt. Once that is fully apparent, your show is DEAD!
